I never blogged about about the save the date for my wedding. I saw a vintage postcard of Palm Springs on the blog style me pretty and decided I would love to have my save the date look just like that. Unfortunately I realized that Sonoma is not a two letter word, and my fonts on hand were not big and cool enough to fit vintage pictures of Sonoma inside the letters, not that I could find enough anyway. Those aren’t photos either they are illustrations, that I would somehow have to find in a digital age. Anyway it couldn’t be done with the resource and time constraints. Here is the inspiration…

So in the end we said lets just forget about the finding all the little pictures to put in the letters and stick with the postcard “greetings from” theme for the save the dates. We came up with our own for Sonoma. 

So yeah they were sent out probably two months after the knot told me to send them but that is ok. We are happy with them and learned not to worry so much about my paper items like invitations, etc. Just kidding haha, yeah right, that is a lie. You should know me better then that.
