If my wedding day goes all bad, if it rains all day on May 30th, I will still have my honeymoon to wipe my tears away. I can drown my sorrows in Spanish wine and eat myself silly on jamon and paella. Ten days in Barcelona with a few day trips around Catalonia, maybe to Girona, Montserrat, Sitges, or Figueres. I found the best deal ever at an apartment on Barceloneta, the beach in Barcelona. For a honeymoon discount of 75 Euros a night. Which is ridiculously affordable! Click the link to see our little apartment. I was going to inquire about the Jose apartment, but at a discount I will take Dario 2, it’s a similar layout anyway.

Another awesomely yummy looking tapas bar…

I just love pictures of food! So yes, I can day dream all day long about some delicious foods at the tapas bars in Barcelona. I can’t do it without some guilt though because there is so much to do at the moment with wedding planning and exercising that I try not to indulge. But then yesterday I decided to look up menus at the restaurants within walking distance of my apartment rental and decided what I would order if I was there. Food is not the only reason we picked Barcelona, but it is the one of them! A big weight lifted off the shoulders when the flights and apartments were booked, there was definitely a feeling of yes there is life after the wedding.

Yay. Your own flat in Barcelona? That is super awesome!! And it’s ok to get a head start on food. That will be the time to eat away. What an exciting honeymoon!
